Buying fireworks
How old do I need to be to buy fireworks?
You must be 18 or over. ID is checked at checkout, delivery or collection.
Do I need a licence to buy fireworks?
No. Members of the public can buy F1, F2 and F3 fireworks without any licence — you just need to be 18 or over.
When can I buy fireworks?
As a licensed specialist retailer, we sell fireworks all year round — you're not limited to the seasonal windows that apply to unlicensed shops.
Can I visit the store in person?
Yes — our Glasgow superstore is open for browsing, expert advice, and click & collect.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, plus PayPal, through our secure checkout.
UK law & safety
Can I set off fireworks in my garden?
Yes, on your own private land, any night of the year, within the legal curfew times.
What time do fireworks have to stop?
11pm on most nights, with later curfews of midnight on Bonfire Night and 1am on New Year's Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year. Fireworks shouldn't be set off before 7am.
What's the difference between F2 and F3 fireworks?
F2 (garden) fireworks need a minimum 8m safety distance. F3 (display) fireworks need 25m and produce bigger effects. Both are available to over-18s without a licence.
How should I store fireworks at home?
Somewhere cool and dry, out of reach of children and pets, in their original packaging.
What do I do if a firework doesn't go off?
Never go back to it. Wait at least 30 minutes, then soak it in a bucket of water for 24 hours before disposing of it in your household waste.
How far away should spectators stand?
Follow the minimum distance printed on each firework — at least 8m for F2 fireworks, 25m for F3.

Do you deliver UK-wide?
Yes, with some postcode restrictions for courier safety reasons — see our delivery page for the full breakdown by area and price.
Why is firework delivery more expensive than a normal parcel?
Fireworks are classed as hazardous goods and can't travel with standard couriers like Royal Mail, EVRI or DPD. We use our own specialist vehicles and qualified drivers, which costs more than a typical parcel delivery.
Can I collect my order in person?
Yes — free click & collect from our Glasgow superstore, usually available same day, 10am–5pm.
Can I return fireworks?
Unopened stock can be returned within 14 days — see our returns policy for full details.
Who can sign for my delivery?
Any responsible adult aged 18 or over. We'll contact you beforehand to arrange a convenient time, and we can't leave fireworks unattended.

Are your fireworks tested and certified?
Every product we sell is tested and BFA-compliant.
What are the best fireworks for a small garden?
Stick to F2 fireworks — fountains, small cakes and selection boxes are great options for smaller spaces.
How many fireworks do I need for a display?
As a rough guide, 3–5 cakes make a solid 5–10 minute garden display, with a fountain to open and a few rockets to close it out.
